VIRTUAL PLAN SESSION
“Success in 2012” Plan Workshop. Virtual session (Online/phone)
“Mike puts the ‘personal’ in ‘virtual.’ His virtual workshop has great interaction among the participants.” Ted Prodromou, netbizexpert.com
We are renowned for our plan workshops, where we get a roomful of business owners together to create their action plans for the coming year. You get energized and inspired and help each other tackle your toughest planning challenges.
I’ve built this same quality of interaction and problem solving into our virtual plan workshop.
Here’s how it works. We divide the workshop into four 90-minute conference calls a week apart. In between, you have time to work on your plan using our 100-page workbook that has questions on every aspect of your business. Then, during the conference calls, we focus on the parts of the workshop that benefit most from interaction among the participants. Using an online file-sharing tool, I walk you through each part, showing examples.
Virtual plan session dates: ••••• Thursday January 7, 14, 21, and February 4. 8:30 – 10:00 am PST (California time).
This is not a canned webinar where you just listen to me talk. It’s an interactive, roll-up-your-sleeves, get-it-done session.
You will leave with a practical plan of action for your business for the coming year. (Scroll down to see what our action plan covers.)
Who this is for. Owner of any going business, from 1 to 100 employees. We focus on the goals and challenges of running a business that are shared by every entrepreneurial business owner in the world.
Virtual Plan Workshop Sequence:
Before it starts. Work on the prep questions I send you as soon as you sign up.
Online/phone session #1. Review your performance. Where are you headed? Your vision, long-term objectives, biggest challenges
Between sessions. Problem solving 1 on 1
Session #2. Parts of your business. Marketing and selling. Doing the work. Running the business. Finances. Balance business and the rest of your life.
Between sessions. Work on “Parts of your business.”
Session #3. Set your goals. Financial, marketing, each part of your business
Between sessions. Complete your Action Plan using our template. Get help from me if needed.
Session #4. Present your plan to the other participants (optional), and get their feedback. You learn a lot by hearing other people present their plans.
Afterward. If some part of your Action Plan wasn’t completed, I will be glad to help you and give you feedback.
Safe to share your plan? Some people are initially reluctant to share their plan with “strangers.” But it never turns out to be a problem:
– You’re not required to share anything you feel uncomfortable about.
– Participants pledge confidentiality. There’s never been a breach of confidentiality so far as I know.
– The parts that are most beneficial to share are not the things you want to keep private. It’s the workings of your business: how to tackle challenges, take advantage of opportunities. In these areas, all small businesses are the same.
– Strong group cohesion emerges rapidly. These people are there to help you, and you them. We entrepreneurs realize we’re all in the same boat and we’ve got to support each other.
